Suffolk Centre Chairman Ron King has nominated the East Anglian Air Ambulance as the charity to benefit from our local fund raising events.

Our Chairman (Garry), Vice-Chairman (Peter with Ineke), Treasurer (Mark with Debra), Publicity Officer (Melody with
Graham) and Equipment Officer (Ron) travelled to Norwich Airport – HQ of the East Anglian Air Ambulance to present a cheque for £1,710.54 to Ben Walker (Community Fundraiser), as the Suffolk Centre contribution to their
fantastic work. A video presentation of their work, showing how they operate and an actual case of a lady badly
injured in a bicycle accident and the response to stabilise and deliver her speedily to hospital was shown to us and
emphasized just how important their work is. This magnificent sum was contributed to the Chairman’s Charity chest
during 2018 from various raffles, events and rallies by all the members of Suffolk Centre. A big thank you to you all –
let’s see if we can beat this figure during the 2019 season.

Janice Kent, Past Lady Chairman, visited the offices of the East Anglian Air Ambulance last week with Garry Pyett, our current Chairman, to discuss the Suffolk Centre fundraising events and how valuable they are to the Air Ambulance.

I was pleased to present Sophie Mathew, their Fundraising Manager, with a cheque for £1,726.31.

This amount was raised at various rallies during 2017 from the generosity of the Suffolk members.

Many thanks to you all,
