The winter is dragging on and the cold north
easterly wind has not finished its final
chill. Even though the days seem to be a
little longer, our caravan has not been on
the road since our last trip in late
November. I have been to inspect the
slightly green and sad looking unit a couple
of times during the winter and swapped the
battery. But I have to get brave and collect
it from storage and give it a good clean so
that we are ready for our trip to the Boat
and Caravan Show later in the month.

there is already limited space available.
The rally handbooks have all been sent out,
so if you have not received yours, please
check with head office that you have
re-registered with the Suffolk Centre to
ensure your copy is sent to you.
Members often ask me what is new on our web site.
You will generally notice news items appear
in the right hand news column however, the best way of
checking for changes is to click on the

very top right hand side of each page or

Volunteers Wanted
We currently need more volunteers to
support the Centre with the 2011 Rally Programme. With spaces on
the rally field in high demand again in 2010, the Rally
Secretary will welcome anyone who would like to help run a

Centre Members The Caravan Club's new computer systems is still being upgraded
and is not currently notifying the Centre of your new or renewed
membership. Please accept our apologies if your rally handbook
is delayed. If you wish to attend a rally, please contact a
member of Committee for rally marshal details. Contacts on page
675 of your Sites Directory & Handbook.
Fire Safety
Please ensure you have read the Fire Safety
Procedure on page 635 of your Sites Directory & Handbook.
Rally Marshals may not have fire extinguishers available on the
rally field in future.
From October 2009 it will be a Suffolk Centre
recommendation that all caravans attending a rally should have a "fire bucket" filled with water adjacent to their "A" frame.
It is recommend that you have a fire extinguisher and fire
blanket in your caravan in case of emergency and regularly check
the batteries in your smoke alarm.
