A
peaceful weekend for a Tom Cat.
We arrived at this new venue
in glorious sunshine to be greeted by Joy
and Andy, marshalling for the first time as
the “main” marshals, ably helped by Colin
and Maggie.
What a sight poor Joy was – absolutely full
of cold but defiant to the end.
A laid back rally was what we were promised
and that’s exactly what we got.
After settling in we took in our
surroundings, and who would have thought
this place was here, never noticing it the
many times we have been up and down that
road, normally on the way to somewhere
else. Views over open countryside with part
of the field screened by hedging. Plus we
found ourselves in the owners back garden!

A welcome cup of tea or coffee was on offer
Friday night and a welcome get together.
Thanks Colin for the use of the awning all
weekend! Wander in or wander out was the
order of this rally.
Saturday saw a cloudy day with a few ominous
rumbles of thunder and spots of rain but on
the whole it was great. Not so for those in
parts of Ipswich we heard from a rallier
returning from his travels. We also heard
from farther afield where they were awash
with water so we counted ourselves really
lucky.

Flagpole was on Saturday evening so we could
all enjoy a good lie in on Sunday – thanks
Joy for going with that one. From the
hospitality in Colin's awning once again we
needed it.
Clouds threatened on Sunday but that’s all
they did with ralliers packing up for the
journey home.
A very big thanks you to Joy and Andy, Colin
and Maggie for a great relaxing weekend. We
know this was supposed to be a one off – but
please do it again.
