We arrived on the field about 12 and were
greeted by Gary and Michael. It’s a lovely
venue with a basket ball net, park and
football posts, which the kids were very
pleased to see. We set up and promptly had
to get ready and attend a wedding, So we
were not about for the rest of Friday but
luckily the weather stayed nice for everyone
turning up during the afternoon.
Saturday morning the kids were up and out
making the most of the park, then we went to
the hall, where people were hard at work
setting up the tracks for the afternoons
racing, the kids (and some adults) were hard
at work designing the flags for the tracks.
In the afternoon, everyone was in the hall
attempting the racing (which I thought it
was a lot harder than it looked!) Later in
the afternoon, the communal barbeque was
underway and again the weather was very
kind. A lot of the kids and adults had a
kick about before going over for a quiz
night in the hall.
We woke Sunday morning to lots of sunshine
and blue skies. Flagpole was in the
morning, where trophies and certificates
were handed out for the previous days
racing. Before packing up, there was time
for the kids to take on some of the adults
for a kick about. This was a lovely cosy
rally and great to see lots of kids playing
and having fun. Fantastic time had by all.
Thanks to the Marshalls for a great rally.
