We were sited and set about making ourselves
comfortable. Jack and Nigel enjoyed the
vast area in front of us playing Frisbee and
football.
On Saturday morning, some
ralliers went into Newmarket. Saturday
afternoon saw some visit the Stud whilst
others enjoyed a game of volleyball. The
rest of us took the opportunity to catch up
with friends and enjoy copious amounts of
tea and coffee!!
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t
being kind to us but, us seasoned
ralliers decided to sit outside
anyway! (Or was it because we
couldn’t find a caravan larger
enough where we could all sit and
natter)!!
Margaret
chaired Flagpole on Saturday evening and
welcomed some new members as well as
presenting some special rally plaques. We
were then invited to sample a selection of
desserts. Everyone could choose 3 desserts
from a vast selection of hot and cold ones.
We’d put Jack to bed so Nigel had his share
too!! The team really worked hard. It was
funny seeing everyone trying to decide “what
to have next”!
Sunday was packing up day. Although the
weather wasn’t particularly nice, no-one
seemed in a hurry to leave.
So, we’ve now had a Breakfast at Newmarket
and Puddings at Newmarket – will next year
be a 3-course dinner with coffee & mints at
Newmarket??!
Well done Derek, Sheena, Terry, Joy and the
rest of your team for a lovely weekend.
