Natter &
Chatter
Ringshall Village Hall
February 2009
|
 |
|
|
|
The rally was sadly cancelled
this year due to the wet start to February.
The marshals discussed the situation with
the representative from the village hall and
the decision was made to keep the Sunday
meeting without a rally this year. |

Numbers were down on previous years however
there was still a buzz of excitement and
lots of "natter and chatter" in the hall.
Even though earlier than usual, the talk was
about who was going where and what holidays
were being planned.
Following a very upbeat and cheeky
presentation from our new Chairman Derek
Pannell, our Rally Sec Nigel gave us an
update of rallies that already had waiting
lists and a few other points of interest
too.

The annual presentations for
the Don Alcock award was made to Steve and
Mel Garrard for attending the most Suffolk
Centre Rallies in 2007/8 followed by the
David Totman award for the Juniors who
attended the most rallies, presented to Jack
and Lee Norman. Other plaques were presented
to the families and Juniors that had
reported attending more than 18 rallies
during the season and Juniors that returned
their rally passports.

The prize draw raised over
£70 for the Suffolk Centre Newsletter fund.
Our new editors, Alan Green and Colin
Goddard will be preparing another edition in
the summer. The most recent edition given
out at the Natter and Chatter can be found
on our web site for download.

A few people brought a picnic
in the hall and soon after, the hall started
to quieten again and we all returned home.
We were all looking forward to warmer, drier
and longer days so we can get the caravans
and awnings out again.
