What a
super weekend this was with the Hintlesham
Hawaiian rally . The evening of the 19th
was set in the tropics of the village hall
when we were greeted by two Hawaiian ladies
,garlands and name labels were handed out.
Then to
the bar where the choice was alcoholic or
non alcoholic punch - no contest !
The disco was pounding away and the evening
was off to a brilliant start. Following a
few drinks the limbo pole was erected on the
dance floor lots took part in this painful
sport but all in good fun. Max had no
problem in getting under and Nigel had to
follow.
Then
came the highlight, surfboard sailing across
the dance floor, this should become an
Olympic sport. Michael had constructed two
extra fast wind machines, the graphics were
painted by Rosanna. They were indeed good
fun but cornering was difficult on the
choppy floor (we had to be careful as the
floor was new) The music continued to the
early hours as all were having fun.
A
moonlight BBQ followed by pancakes cooked by
our intrepid fun-loving Gary Maples. But all
things must end and off to bed it was.
Sunday saw Tea & coffee followed by flagpole
taken by our chairman for the rally, Gary.
As the sun was shining most ralliers stayed
as long as they could. A super rally many
thanks to Michael & Sheena, Bob & Rosanna
for lots of fun…

Fire Safety
Please ensure you have read the Fire Safety
Procedure on page 635 of your Sites Directory & Handbook.
Rally Marshals may not have fire extinguishers available on the
rally field in future.
From October 2009 it will be a Suffolk Centre
recommendation that all caravans attending a rally should have a "fire bucket" filled with water adjacent to their "A" frame.
It is recommend that you have a fire extinguisher and fire
blanket in your caravan in case of emergency and regularly check
the batteries in your smoke alarm.
