Amazingly, a heard of cows has broken through an adjoining fence and had come to meet the caravanners. Jan called it an "Early Morning Cabaret" and it was certainly entertaining !

This year Ken and Jan Beswick announced that this was the last year that they would be marshals at the Henham Steam Rally.

This Suffolk Centre rally was revived by Ken and Jan following a break of a couple of years and it is well known that it attracts a very large number of vans every year. The event also moved from Henham, a few miles up the road to Benacre and then back to Henham. This added additional effort when pegging out a new field each year. The workload is huge for a rally such as this and we thank Ken and Jan for all their hard work. Don't worry though, they have committed to two visits to Clare Priory in 2007 and I am sure we will see them both on the rally field again soon.

I can also announce that Colin and Jan Goddard have offered to take on the rally as main marshal next year with hep from John and Hazel Head, and Alan and Sue Green. We wish them every success in 2007.
