Well Colin said at flagpole that
he'd been saying his prayers at
night for a good weekend for the
last week and someone up there
must have been listening because
the sun shone on us all weekend.
After the deluge the weekend
before, (a rather soggy one at
Copdock) and some of the week
before as well, there were a few
nervous moments wondering if the
rally would have to be
cancelled. When we arrived the
ground was a bit soft but there
was not a mark made on the
ground anywhere.
We were treated to tea and
coffee on Friday for a welcome get together
and we were able to enjoy - at last - a
sociable evening in the awning with friends.
Saturday arrived with glorious sunshine and
a few ventured off out. Flagpole was in the
afternoon followed by homemade scones
(thanks to Maggie Clarke) with jam and fresh
cream - oh yum!
Colin and Maggie
Clarke were awarded their 150th rally plaque
- well done Colin and Maggie - and we had a
birthday boy with us as well. Don't worry I
won't let on how old Dave Otto is!
Sunday arrived, a bit misty
but that soon cleared over and the sun shone
again. No-one wanted to go home but the last
few were soon left clearing up.
Mick King helped Colin and Maggie on his own
as Janet wasn't feeling too well at all. So
get well soon Janet - you've a holiday to go
on next week!
So thanks to the marshals for a great
weekend - and hope to see you back there
again sometime.

Fire Safety
Please ensure you have read the Fire Safety
Procedure on page 635 of your Sites Directory & Handbook.
Rally Marshals may not have fire extinguishers available on the
rally field in future.
From October 2009 it will be a Suffolk Centre
recommendation that all caravans attending a rally should have a "fire bucket" filled with water adjacent to their "A" frame.
It is recommend that you have a fire extinguisher and fire
blanket in your caravan in case of emergency and regularly check
the batteries in your smoke alarm.
