We arrived on site on Friday
evening to be greeted by our
marshals (and a cup of coffee
from the Mattocks)!
Saturday morning started off
okay but during the day we had
rain and heavy winds. During the
afternoon we saw many fellow
ralliers battling with awnings
as they tried to take them down
as the wind really got up. We
took the opportunity to visit
Stowmarket caravans in the
morning. We hardly saw Jack for
the rest of the day – he was
busy enjoying the playground
with Jamie, Bethany, Oliver and
Emily.
On Saturday evening everyone
made their way over to the hall
for the Harvest Supper. And what
a super supper it was! We
started off with orange juice or
leek and potato soup. I went for
the latter and it was lovely.
This was followed by cold meats
and salad, apple pie and trifle,
cheese and biscuits and coffee
and mints. The children even
had their own meal of sausage
and chips followed by jelly! It
was obvious the marshals (and
helpers) had been very busy
during the day.
Thanks to Derek, Sheena, Mark,
Lisa, Oliver and Emily for all
you hard work.
Kim,
Nigel, Jack and Max
