We love this site, you did well to find this one. Hope they invite us back and when they get the CL up and running we will certainly try it out.

What Wiggly Worms?

Just want to say thanks for a lovely weekend, perfect weather and a fantastic new site. The view was beautiful. We all had fun finding the elusive worms, definitely do it again had such a laugh. Well done to all the marshals.
Andy Sarah and James Pedder

It was over a year ago when we were offered the use of Hill Farm by the landowners Rob & Rosie Mann. We had a good feeling about the venue and although the land is not absolutely flat, as a consequence the views are stunning for the generally flat county of Suffolk.

Following a couple of visits, Rob and his "merry men" worked hard to cut the grass and install new water and waste emptying points in time for our arrival. As the vans rolled in, we realised that a few levelling blocks were essential but this was a small price to pay for the seclusion and beauty of the site and surrounding area.

We soon filled the field and pegged out the worm charming area for Saturday afternoon. Sue and Beryl provided refreshments on Friday evening and at flagpole on Sunday. The weather was being very kind to us again and although a few clouds appeared and the wind got up while we were worm charming, the rest of the day was fit for sun worshippers.

So to the main event. WORM CHARMING. Although there was a fair bit of cheating gong on.... we said "no digging" the spirit of the game remained in tact and I was amazed at the number of crazy participants we had trying their luck. It really is the simple ideas that provide the most fun and this was no exception. Congratulations to everyone that found worms and to Colin for winning with 7 worms, the trophy is yours this year. The Punchards and the Syretts were given "Most Enthusiastic" and "Needing More Practice" achievement certificates and a copy of "Dirty Bertie and worms".

We have passed our thanks to Rob and Rosie and already booked next year when we will extend the rally to 4 nights and include a bug hunt. So watch out at the AGM for the "Bugs & Worms Rally" in August 2012.

Many thanks to first time Rally Marshals Beryl & Brian and my lovely wife Sue for supporting my obsession for caravan rallies. Most of all thanks to the 26 other families that made the weekend so rewarding.

Enjoy the photo's and video.
