To get the rally started on the Friday
evening, there was tea and coffee in the
hall with the Marshals. On Saturday morning
it was time for fun as it was the start of
the Scalextric Grand Prix for the whole
family
The main idea was to see how many laps you
could do in a certain amount of time. A
little bit of skill and a lot of luck was
needed but everyone was having a go.
Flagpole was on Saturday evening, when the
trophies were handed out to the winners and losers of the Scalextrix
Grand Prix. Jack won a trophy for the "under
10's most laps" and he was really pleased
with it until he dropped it on his toe !
After
flagpole was the Grand Prix Quiz. This
involved five teams battling it out to win a
tin of chocolates. There were a whole host
of sections, involving a Playstation driving
game, in which Vinnie was the slowest and
crashed the most times (we are not sure how
he manages to drive to rallies !!).
There were lots of puzzles
and the children had to guide a blindfolded
adult round a race curcuit. The next task
was to make a car out of Liquorice Allsorts
and cocktail sticks. This is not as easy as
it looks, particularly when other teams eat
each others Liquorice Allsorts. To finish it
off, we had to wrap a member of each team in
toilet paper to make them look like a Grand
Prix racing driver.
It was a "blinding night" and a great
weekend. Thank you very much to
everyone involved.

membership. Please accept our apologies if your rally handbook
is delayed. If you wish to attend a rally, please contact a

Fire Safety
Please ensure you have read the Fire Safety
Procedure on page 635 of your Sites Directory & Handbook.
Rally Marshals may not have fire extinguishers available on the
rally field in future.
From October 2009 it will be a Suffolk Centre
recommendation that all caravans attending a rally should have a "fire bucket" filled with water adjacent to their "A" frame.
It is recommend that you have a fire extinguisher and fire
blanket in your caravan in case of emergency and regularly check
the batteries in your smoke alarm.
