We
have just returned home from the French
holiday rally and have to say a massive
thank you to Jan, Paul, Lynne and Barry
for organising such a great 2 weeks. The
site was brilliant – so many activities
that no-one had time to get bored! The
surrounding area was lovely too and we
had many days out to enjoy the sights.
Our marshals also organised:
Welcome bags for us
Including French
stick, pate, a bottle of water, a
bottle of cider and cheese – most
welcome after our journeys from the
UK
Daily Bingo
Cheese and Wine
evening
Cocktail night
Scavenger hunt
Picture Quiz
Boule competition
Meal at the site
Restaurant
They
had also asked those attending to take a
couple of books which meant we had our
own Library for a fortnight!
The site had 4 different swimming pools
for everyone to enjoy. There was a
paintball area, pitch and putt, crazy
golf, golf, restaurant and take-away on
site, games room, pedalos for hire, a
weekly market, a well stocked shop and
lots more.
The indoor pool was where the "SCCC
extreme sports team" held their first
event, with Paul, Paul, Den and Nigel
doing the extreme aqua splash! Nigel,
Jack, Max, Ben, Abi, Jamie, Bethany,
Libby and Frankie also took part in the
“SCCC extreme zip wire event” whilst
those not so brave looked on!
Flagpole saw the prize-giving for all
the competitions that had taken place
and was also an opportunity for us to
say thank you to our marshals for all
their hard work. As this was there
holiday too it was fantastic that they
organised so much for us all!
So Jan, Paul, Baz and Lynne thank you
again for organising a wonderful holiday
rally! Now, where are we going next
year?!
