Wow what a fabulous rally, the marshals
worked very hard, and gave us a really
enjoyable time.
On Thursday we all met for tea, coffee
and biscuits, Friday at 11am we had tea
coffee and hot cross buns, they were
warm and butter or marg was provided. A
choice between the country walk with
Nick & Carole or a do as you please
afternoon was followed in the evening by
an excellent duo Tricks of the Trade who
had us all up and dancing from the word
go.
Saturday morning we had homemade cakes
with our morning teas and coffees. A
lazy afternoon followed by an evening
with Mister Buss,
Sunday
morning those of us who purchased
vouchers, had a breakfast bap our
chairman and chairlady aided and abetted
by the marshals provided, later we
returned to the hall for tea and coffee.
The children had a Easter egg hunt on
the rally field.
Sunday evening there was flagpole,
competition results, raffle draw and
bingo. Monday the rally ended.
Our heartfelt thanks go to:
Derek & Sheena for chairing and cooking,
Trev & Sue, Sheila & Joe, Carole & Nick
and Tina & Steve. The hardworking team.
Beryl & Brian
Garrod
I would
like to thank Trevor, Sue and their team for
a great Easter Rally. Trevor decided to call
the rally the Eggstra Easter rally as it was
late going in the programme, it could have
been called the “Eggcellent” rally as it was
excellent with something for everyone.
Thursday saw the vans arrive in glorious
sunshine (you can't take the credit for that
Trevor) Thursday evening tea and coffee in
the hall and a chance to catch up with old
friends.
Friday hot cross buns in the morning and a
leisurely walk in the afternoon, games were
set up outside the Marshals vans to keep the
children amused the adults seemed to like
them as well. The evening entertainment was
by Tricks of the Trade a live group who are
new to the centre, the dance floor was full
the whole evening I am sure this won’t be
the last time we see them.
Saturday it was home made cakes and tea and
coffee in the morning then a lazy day a
chance to top up the tan, Saturday evening
saw the return of Mister Buss another live
group who have played for the centre many
times.
Sunday the Marshals served us breakfast in a
bun a great way to start the day it really
was another lazy day. Trevor must have some
good contacts to get this great weather.
Sunday evening saw flagpole followed by
grand charity draw which along with the
profits from the breakfast raised £285.00
for the Chairman;s charity, a great effort
from every one on the rally. The evening
ended with bingo where Steve our caller was
the star of the weekend he had to be seen to
be believed. Once again a big thank you to
everyone involved and I hope you do it all
again next year.
