A wonderful fun packed weekend had by all on
The Wild West Rally at Dan's Meadow,
Martlesham.
Friday tea and coffee and chatting in the
hall. Saturday the centre's volleyball kit
was put out and lots of interesting games
featured, kids v adults, adults v adults,
the unfit against the unfit, a great idea to
have the net there it was well worth it. The
afternoon saw a game of Horseshoes, which
was great fun for everyone.
The highlight of the weekend on Saturday
evening was the disco, with DJ Martin. Lots
of people dressing up - loads of cowboys,
cowgirls, a trio of funny looking Mexicans
and a couple of dodgy Indians!! A
brilliant night's entertainment.
After flag on Sunday a raffle was held and
there were some great prizes on offer.
Clearly a lot of hard work went into the
weekend and we can only say "thank you and
well done, it was brilliant" to Mandi,
Daryl, Mel, Steve and kids for all the hard
work. For a first rally marshaled by Mandi
and Daryl it was extremely well organised
and well thought out. Many thanks again.

We
went along to the Wild West Rally at
Martlesham, the weather was very
good to us although a bit windy and
we only had one shower of rain on
Saturday afternoon. On Friday
evening we had a chance to get
together for tea and coffee and to
catch up with old friends.
At 2.30pm on Saturday there was a
horseshoe throwing contest but about
to 2.00pm the heavens opened up a
with the only shower of the weekend
but it still went ahead. Saturday
evening there was a disco and the
fancy dress had a good turnout.
Cowboy’s, Indian’s, Mexican’s, etc,
the disco was a DJ Johnny's friend
and he was very good he played all
types of music. The dance floor was
never empty.
The raffle tickets were sold all day
Saturday and Saturday evening at the
disco, the draw was to be held on
Sunday morning after flagpole
unfortunately we had to leave before
10.00 AM so we missed flag pole but
we would just like to say a very big
thanks to all the marshals who
organized the rally, Daryl, Mandi,
Abi and Ben Syrett. Steve and Mel
Garrard thanks for a great weekend.
Looking forward to our next Rally in
2 weeks time.
