A
family weekend...
We arrived at the rally at mid-day and were
greeted in their imitable way by Steve and
Nick and were shown to our allotted space.
Later in the day our daughter Linda and her
husband arrived with their caravan. The
pitches were spaced out with lots of room
for everyone. We had a free afternoon and
joined the marshals in the evening for tea
and coffee.
Saturday afternoon cream teas were served
which I was reliably informed by my wife Sue
was enjoyed by everyone. I had mine for
supper as I had to leave the rally for the
afternoon. In the evening we had bingo and
even if you hadn’t played before it was made
very easy to play and very successful. Nick
rolled the balls with Tony checking the
cards and Steve calling out the numbers in a
style that only he can.
Trevor and Sue Smith chaired the rally at
flagpole on Sunday morning followed by tea
and coffee to round off the rally. The
rally was again a very successful one
(assisted by the weather) and sincere thanks
to the marshals Steve & Mel and Nick &
Carol.
