I have just attended my first Debenham
Country Music rally and what a great rally
it was. Vans began arriving on Wednesday
with a very warm welcome from all the
marshals it was easy to set up on a level
and well set out site, soon there was quite
an array of flags flying and BBQ's going.
Heavy rain over night and Thursday morning
did little to dampen the spirits in the
evening it was over to the hall to book and
decorate your table. From then on it was
entertainment all the way with two bands on
both Thursday and Friday evenings.
On Saturday unfortunately the weather again
played its part with the proposed outdoor
concerts having to move inside due to the
rain but this proved no problem with every
one having a great time. Saturday evening
again saw two bands with Bob Brolly being
the star of the evening. Sunday morning
flagpole was held in the hall where our
thanks were given to the marshals and there
many helpers, but there was more to come
with concerts again in the afternoon and
evening.
This rally was attended by some 60 members
from the Suffolk Centre and many more from
visiting centres, there was music for all,
not just country music fans it is good to
see the Centre runs rallies for all tastes.
Long may this rally continue and with the
hard work of the marshal I am sure it will
go from strength to strength, again thank
you very much for your hard work and I am
sure I will be back.
An almost country
fan.
