The 7th – 9th
September 2007 saw some 22 caravans attend
the peace and tranquillity that Clare Priory
holds. The sun shone, most of the time it
seemed that summer had arrived in September.
It was one of those rallies that did not
require pegging out due to the nature of the
grounds . The flagpole was not used because
of the trees so the Suffolk Centre banner
was used to great effect. A walk through the
country park to view the once used railway
station now where the lines were is all put
to grass. The Station building is still
standing and is still in use. A climb up a
narrow path took us to the remains of the
castle a good view over the surrounding
countryside could be gained from here. The
town of Clare is full of old buildings all
with history, as is the Priory what an
interesting sundial on its wall!
The rally was a do as you please one walking
talking and relaxing. Derek Pannell took
Flagpole with Sheena. Ken & Janet Beswick
the marshals at this rally were presented
with a plaque. A 400th rally
plaque was presented to Brian and Brenda
Taylor what an achievement I’ve only got
about 250 to do . We were all “ Chilled out
“ after this rally . Thanks to the marshals
for a peaceful rally.

and family.
