This was the first time we had ever been to Clare priory, we had heard a lot of good things about the site and we were not disappointed.

The site is very secluded and the vans were dotted around among the trees, which were essential to shade us from the searing sun.

Most of the rallies we have done this year have been in not the best weather, and yet this rally was bathed in glorious sunshine, so what do we do?

We hide from it under the trees and canopies!!

Friday evening was spent sorting out the van and putting up the solar equipment from the solar panel to the solar butterflies then we finished off the evening chatting with friends.

Clare village is very picturesque with a good mixture of shops; we had a stroll round it on Saturday afternoon and also took in the church that had a selection of stalls on show. Then it was back to the site to hide from the sun again.

Saturday evening when it was cooler we went for a stroll down by the river on the circular walk and then spent the rest of the evening playing games and chatting until late into the night.

Sunday dawned even hotter than Saturday and we spent most of the day lounging around as it was too hot to pack up the van.

We finally left late in the afternoon and will certainly be back next year.
