The long dry spring period
continued although this weekend was a little
cloudy and windy. Having navigated our van
down the narrow road to the rally field we
immediately heard the "toot toot" of a steam
train passing behind the trees. What a nice
atmosphere this was, coupled with the tidy
and impressive gardens just over to our
right.
We arrived on Friday afternoon and managed
to get some well earned rest on he rally
field following another busy week. We spent
most of Saturday back and forth to the
Bressingham Steam Museum taking rides and
wandering around all the exhibits including
the Dads Army area. A nice barbecue on
Saturday evening followed by a walk round
the gardens was the perfect end to the day.
On Sunday we went back into the Steam Museum
to have more rides on the trains and look
around the garden centre. It was too much of
a temptation and a tray of plants
accompanied us back to the van. We finally
left the rally field late into the afternoon
having sampled some tea and cakes in the
cafe.
We would like to thank the marshals for
putting this rally in the programme and we
hope that it will be run again in future.
