Another Christmas Spectacular and the last
visit to Banham Zoo for a while. We were
aware that there was no summer or Christmas
rally at Banham in 2009, so we were
determined to make this year's rally field a
bright and colourful one.
The rally started sunny and the skies
remained clear all weekend, allowing all 30
or more children to walk about in the zoo
without getting drenched as in previous
years. There was slightly fewer vans this
year but the atmosphere was just as festive.
The rally marshals were dressed in their
warm clothes and mandatory Christmas hats !
I managed to get a few pictures of decorated
caravans before the light faded. Well done
yet again to Steve Garrard who won a bottle
of wine for being the best decorated caravan
for the 4th year in a row. There was good
competition for him this year and I am sure
the judges had a difficult decision as
usual.
The Christmas draw raised
£145
for the Chairman's charity this year. Thank
you to everyone who donated prizes and
bought raffle tickets.
May we all take this opportunity to thank
our rally marshals Dave, Tracy, John,
Christine, Tony and Val for all their hard
work putting this weekend together and
standing out in the freezing cold all day on
Friday.
