BANHAM ZOO CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR RALLY 2005 - PART 2

THE THREE TREMORS

You’ve heard of the Three Degrees, The Three Tenors, Three Dog Night, Three of a Kind, Three sheets to the Wind, Three wheels on my Wagon and many many more ,well here we have The Three Tremors ,otherwise known as Dave with my Back, Trevor with my leg and John, what with my hip. Well what with their individual  aches and pains . They all welcomed us to  The Christmas Spectacular Rally at Banham Zoo with a smile on their faces. The weather forecast was rather gloomy but true to the style of these Marshals it remained bright  but cool ( well what can you expect it is December )

Tracy was giving  instruction in the use of 4 wheel drive. Some of us have it but don’t use it .Bob didn’t feel quite so bad when I told him that I couldn’t remember how to work it either. Soon we were all sited and having lots of help the van was level , Michael  got the water and also put the electric hook up lead through the pipe in the hedge  and plugged it in. Thank you. Michael. I put the beds up and after a chat went in and saw the time, well having told the children that it was very late for them they were soon in bed and the lights put out . It was not until next morning that I realised that I had forgot to put the clock in the caravan back an hour – oops!

Saturday came with a visit to the Zoo. Santa Claus was first on the list of things to do, next a look at the animals .

At 2pm we went and watched our own performance of Cinderella , A wonderful Christmas show for all the family, it seems that some members could do magic tricks and watch the show with their eyes closed , not to embarrass them I won’t mention their names here, speak to me later and I will reveal all.  As night fell we were able to look around the Zoo to see all the Christmas lights a very magical sight it was and all the time Christmas carols were being played  .

7.30pm came with flagpole in the function room and a disco followed with lots of dancing singing  and merry making. At a late hour the music stopped and off to bed we went . Next morning saw another trip around the Zoo before packing away saying our farewells and making the short drive home to store the van away until next time.

A big thank you to all the marshals Dave ,Tracy, Trevor, Sue, John and Christine for a super rally hope we can do it again next year
