Well what a good weekend we
had. The weather on Friday afternoon was
determined to challenge the Marshals as they
tried to peg out in the pouring rain.
We arrived on site at about 4-45pm, the
marshals had just been told that the field
that they had pegged out was too wet to use.
They cheerfully re-organized the caravans,
and we were all quite happy with our sites.
Most were on hard stands and a few were
sited on the grassed verges near to the
school buildings.
Saturday was a lazy day and
the warm sunshine was a treat, so we
sheltered behind Sue and Trev's caravan and
read a book whilst the majority of
caravanners went shopping nearby.
On Saturday evening the band
was really good. They were called "Mr J" and
as usual the dance floor was soon full of
happy caravanners. John said he is going to
try to book the band again next year, so
don't miss it if you like the sounds of the
60's.
And it was Denis Mattocks birthday too....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEN
!
On Sunday the A.G.M. went
without a hitch. All in all it was a very
enjoyable weekend. Who ever said that the
A.G.M. Rally would be boring !!??
Many thanks to John, Nina,
Barry and Lynne.
Alex, Beryl &
Brian Garrod.
