What a wonderful weekend of celebration in
the blazing May sunshine. The sunshine was
very welcome and it could not have been
better timed.
During Thursday and Friday the caravans and
motorhomes were arriving and the final
preparations were being made by the rally
marshals, committee and volunteers.
The weekend programme was filled with things
to do and still left time for walking
cycling and sunbathing. Quizmasters Dave,
Tracy and Derek greeted keen ralliers for
the Quiz Night on Thursday.
The children (and grown ups) were being
entertained by Andy the Clown, who had no
sooner arrived and he was playing his fun
music and performing all sorts of tricks. We
didn't find out who the mystery singer was,
joining in from one of the caravans !
On Friday evening the Tilly's Belly Dancers
were the main attraction and the marquee was
filled with cheering spectators. One or two
brave ralliers got up and tried the belly
dancing at the end too.
Competition entries were judged by Andy the
Clown after 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Then
tea and birthday cake was provided with a
glass of wine and a toast to the Centre. In
the evening, entertainment was provided by
Mister Buss and cabaret Steven Bayfield as
"The Suffolk Old Boy". What a great evening.
Sunday morning flagpole was relaxed and the
crowd cheered as our Chairman gave the
